Gary L. Cooper

Professor Cooper is the Founding Editor of the international quarterly, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and co-editor of the medical journal, Stress Medicine. He is the President of the British Academy of Management, President of Institute of Welfare Officers and former President of the International Society for the Investigation of Stress (ISIS). He has been a temporary Adviser to two UN bodies, the World Health Organization and the International Labor Organisation. He has published over 400 scholarly articles and over 100 books. He is the senior co-editor of the Blackwell Encyclopaedia of Management (12 volumes); co-editor of Personality: Critical Concepts in Psychology (4 volumes; and editor of Fundamentals of Organizational Behavior (4 volumes). He was Pro Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology, 1995-2002.
