During his 5 years as the US-based Chairman/CEO of Burger King, Barry Gibbons received international acclaim for his performance (he was cited as a Turnaround Champion" in Fortune magazine).

Having retired from big business (his choice), he is now a successful, author, speaker, consultant and entrepreneur on both sides of the Atlantic.

His business interests include being co-founder of Y Arriba, a Latin themed "tapas-teatro" in Disneyland in California, and an organic gourmet coffee business in the US and UK.

He has written four business books, published in both the US and UK, whilst his offbeat business column appears in the USA's QSR magazine. His latest book Dream Merchants & Howboys: Mavericks, Nutters and the Road to Business Success) was published in 2002.

He has made over 200 speeches to blue-chip corporate audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. A brilliant speaker, Barry Gibbons aims to show audiences — internal and external — how to stay ahead in fast changing and unpredictable markets.

With his English charm (and occasionally rather irreverent humor) he shows how to lead (not manage), and how to energize people who work for you, with you and above you. How to keep yourself, your products and your company fresh. How, in a world of virtually unsatisfiable customers, to develop a relationship with them that is beyond satisfaction. He explores 'intuitive marketing'. Above all, he offers ideas on how to bring it all together to get distinction and excellence in all that you do.
