Caroline Gatrell

Caroline Gatrell joined the Lancaster University Management School in 1998, having obtained the Lancaster Executive MBA with a distinction (and later an Ph.D. from Lancaster as well). Caroline has been involved as both tutor and examiner with a number of the Lancaster University's pretigious graduate business degrees, including the Executive anf Full time MBAs. She is currently directing an Action Research project to evaluate the effectiveness of 'Children First' — an early years education and childcare partnership. With Sharon Turnbull, Caroline co-directs Lancaster's MPhil/PhD in Critical Management.

She has a background in Art History and some of her early publications relate to her work in this field. Caroline has a BA and MA in History of Art, from Manchester and London Universities respectively. Previous experience includes the marketing of Local Government Fine Arts and Heritage, as well as commercial fine art.
