Dov Dvir is an Emeritus Professor who has held significant academic positions, including Chair of the Department of Management, Chair of the Research Students Committee, and Academic Director of the HMBA (Honors MBA) in the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He also headed the Management of Technology (MOT) Department at the Holon Institute of Technology.
Academically, Dvir holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, an M.Sc. in Operations Research, an MBA from Tel Aviv University, and a Ph.D. in Management from Tel Aviv University.
Prior to his academic career, Dvir accumulated over 25 years of experience in managing large-scale projects and providing consulting services in both government and private sectors.
As an author, Dov Dvir is known for his work in the fields of project management, technology management, and technological entrepreneurship. He has published more than 100 papers in refereed journals and scientific conferences. He co-authored the book Reinventing Project Management: The Diamond Approach to Successful Growth and Innovation, published in 2007, with Aaron Shenhar. His research often focuses on project success factors and the impact of technological and market uncertainty on innovative development processes.
