In 2005 Hugo started Bridge in the Netherlands. Without previous experience in outsourcing, without offices in offshore countries and with an old pc and a mobile phone. He started out with a vision that has at its core: helping. Helping companies do part of their work offshore and incur cost savings. Helping people in developing nations get jobs and a better life. And helping the countries where we do business in a socially engaged way.

In the past 10 years, Hugo has gained substantial knowledge and experience in managing global teams. He has lived in India for almost 2 years. His passion is enabling people from different cultural backgrounds, in different time zones and different countries, to collaborate. Many people are struggling to setup an offshore collaboration and manage teams remotely. Hugo has found out what it takes to do this. Through his company Bridge Global, he enables others to use this knowledge and experience. Through his blog and videos he tries to share his knowledge.

Hugo recently launched a new venture, Ekipa, the global marketplace for the world's best software teams.

He gives workshops and trainings to help distributed teams collaborate better.
