John H. (Jack) Zenger

John H. (Jack) Zenger is a pioneer in leadership, interpersonal and sales training.

Dr. Zenger received his doctorate in business administration from the University of Southern California, his master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles and his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University.

Mr. Zenger is author of the best-selling book, Self-Directed Work Teams: The New American Challenge; Leading Teams; Not just for CEO's — Sure-Fire Success Secrets for the Leader in Each of Us; Keeping Teams on Track; and Results-Based Leadership; voted the SHRM 2000 Best Business Book.

Jack Zenger is Vice Chairman of PROVANT, Inc., the largest training company in the organizational performance improvement industry in the United States of America. He was previously Chairman of the Times Mirror Training Group, which prior to PROVANT was the largest group of training companies in the world. Jack is the co-founder, President and CEO of Zenger-Miller. Prior to that he was vice president of human resources for Syntex Corporation.

Jack served on the faculty at USC and taught at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is in Human Resource Development Hall of Fame. He earned the Distinguished Citizen Award, Stanford Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, and is an Honorary Member of the Instructional Systems Association, for meritorious service to the industry.

Jack is also a member of the American Psychological Association, American Society of Training and Development, and was Vice President of the Instructional Systems Association. He serves on the Executive Board of the Utah National Parks Council-Boy Scouts of America as the Chairman of Benefits and Compensation Committee; was the President of the Brigham Young University Alumni Association; is on the Board of Trustees of the Utah Valley State College; and is currently the President of the Midway Boosters.

Dr. Zenger's areas of expertise focus on leadership development and leadership development program design.
