Michel Fender

Michel Fender received his degree in Agronomy Engineering from the Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon.

He has an MBA from HEC-ISA and a PhD from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees. He is currently Professor of Global Logistics and Vice-President of the Master's in International Business at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees, the MBA des Ponts in France. Through this program he teaches logistics and manufacturing strategy not only in France, but in Argentina, the United Kingdom, India, Japan, and several Carribean nations as well. His research focuses on logistics cooperation in supply chain.

While at ESSEC Business School, Professor Fender was director of the Master's in Purchasing Management Program from 1993-1996 and a director of the Master's in Management and Engineering Logistics from 1996 to 1997. He collaborated in the creation of the IHEL (Institut des Hautes Etudes Logistiques). Professor Fender frequently teaches logistics and general management in various executive programs. He is an experienced consultant, working in fields ranging from the automotive components, food, and pharmaceutical industries to the French Army.
