Nicolas Majluf

Nicolas Majluf is professor of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of the Catholic University of Chile. He received his Ph.D. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his M.S. in Operation Research from Stanford University, and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Catholic University of Chile. He has been a visiting professor at M.I.T.'s Sloan School of Management, IESE (Barcelona, Spain), the John E. Andersson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, and numerous Chilean and Latin-American universities and schools of business. In the past, he held positions as Associate Dean of the School of Engineering and Associate Provost, both at the Catholic University, Chile.

Dr. Majluf also has extensive experience as process consultant in the areas of Strategic Management and Organization Design. He has worked with a number of industries, including financial, mining, oil, electric utilities, telecommunication, and building materials. He has also worked as a consultant in the public sector in the areas of education and public works.
