Randi Rost is a graphics software architect in Digital Equipment Corporation's Palo Alto-based workstation engineering group. He was one of the chief architects for PEX and served as the PEX document editor for the first four years of the effort. Recently, Rost has participated in the design of Open GL and has been leading Digital's Open GL implementation effort. Numerous publications include papers on PEX and other 3D graphics topics, a book on X and Motif, and several computer graphics images. Previously Rost has participated in SIGGRAPH tutorials on PEX and evaluating graphics workstations. He has an M.S. in Computing Science from the University of California/Davis and a B.S. in Computer Science/Math from Mankato (MN) State University.
