Stanley Foster Reed

Stanley Foster Reed (SFR) is the Founder and CEO of MergerCentral® Inc. He is an entrepreneur, publisher, writer, lecturer, management consultant, and college professor. He founded and financed a number of successful business enterprises including a high-tech research and development laboratory with clients ranging from Dupont to Bethlehem Steel to Reynolds Metals to Goodrich and Goodyear. He built a successful publishing business which included the founding of Mergers & Acquisitions and Directors & Boards magazines. He has served as a long-range strategic management/merger consultant to numerous global corporations including Allied Chemical, Gillette, Schering Plough, McGraw-Hill, Seiko Watch. His strategic planning models for acquisition and divestiture have been taught to thousands of executives at hundreds of seminars held around the world including his MergerWeek® at Northwestern University. Through a long-time association with publisher McGraw-Hill, he has five Art of M&A's books in print including The M&A Deskbook, and another on the way. His highly specialized publications, both periodicals and books, target management problem-solving and decision-making at high levels of business and government.

He teaches advanced management courses as Entrepreneur in Residence at the College of Charleston.
