Stephen Drotter

Stephen Drotter is one of the early designers and practitioners of General Electric's succession planning process. He later ran human resources for INA (now called CIGNA) and for Chase Manhattan Corporation. He is currently chief executive of Drotter Human Resources, an executive succession planning company. He has conducted over nine hundred in-depth assessments of internal candidates for senior leadership positions and has completed sixteen CEO succession plans. Steve is coauthor of The Succession Planning Handbook for the CEO.
