Virginia O'Brien's professional experience includes working as the director of communication for organizations in both the business and nonprofit sectors. She has also freelanced as a writer, ghostwriter, and editor. Her articles on business intelligence have been published in the United States and the European business press, and she was a contributing author to Winningin the New Europe: Taking Advantage of the Single Market, ed. Liam Fahey (Prentice Hall, 1992). Ms. O'Brien has designed and taught organizational communication courses on the college level, and developed and presented seminars on business intelligence to Fortune 500 executives. She has a B.A. in psychology and holds a Master of Science degree from Boston University's College of Communication.
