Bob Dorf is co-founder and General Partner of 1to1 Venture Partners, a $100 million private equity fund that focuses on early stage companies including — among others — those delivering CRM tools, technology and services.
A true entrepreneur, Dorf's startup experience includes two out-of-the-park home runs, an implosion, two base hits and one — the venture fund-where the jury's still out. Considered a leading strategist in the field of Customer Relationship Management, Dorf is the former CEO and a founding partner of Peppers and Rogers Group, the one-to-one strategy consulting firm. He is the co-author of The One To One Field Book with Don Peppers and Martha Rogers, Ph.D. and is recognized for his vision which helped establish Peppers and Rogers Group as a global leader in the field of CRM. His work has helped conceive and implement one-to-one strategies for a diverse range of organizations from the American Cancer Society to Jaguar Cars to Charles Schwab and his personal favorite, Vail Resorts in Colorado.
Among Dorf's earlier entrepreneurial successes was Dorf & Stanton Communications, which he founded alone at age 22 and sold on his 40th birthday. A small retail chain, a magazine and a rental company round the entrepreneur's battle scars.
Dorf has written for dozens of publications including The Harvard Business Review and has spoken on the impact of one-to-one strategy and other topics before scores of US and international audiences.
