Clas Wahlbin

Clas Wahlbin, born 1945, Professor of Industrial Marketing, Associate Dean for Quality and Support at Jönköping International Business School.

He is a Swedish "Civilekonom" and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Gothenbourg and has a M.Sc. in Technical Physics from the Chalmers Institute.

As Associate dean for Quality and support, Wahlbin heads the Quality and support unit at JIBS (finance, IT coordination, marketing support and personnel), and manages the parallel processses of acheving both AACSB and EQUIS accreditations for JIBS.

Wahlbin has formerly served as president of Jönköping University and Dalecarlia University. His research deals with technology-based development of new products, business areas, and firms, and with analysis of industrial markets. He has authored and co-authored textbooks in data analysis and marketing research.

He is chairman of the Swedish Forum for Small Business Research (FSF) and vice chairman of The Knowledge Foundation (KK-stiftelsen). He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.
